The Dorothy Ley Hospice is undergoing significant renovations from Jan. 23 to April 15, 2024. During this time, individuals in our care will be temporarily relocated to The McCall Centre for Continuing Care, 140 Sherway Drive. Our Administrative offices will remain at 220 Sherway Drive.

FAQ about the temporary location
The renovations are necessary so that the hospice can add two permanent hospice
rooms equipped with a washroom and all the features needed to provide care. The hospice also must replace its air conditioning unit as it no longer works and needs to make several improvements to the facility to enable safe care.
Yes, all the hospice services will be available and the care will be provided by the Dorothy Ley Hospice nurses, personal support workers, medical doctors and volunteers. The care will be the same as at the hospice just in a different location.
We will work with you and your loved one to find another hospice or a palliative care unit that would meet the needs of your loved one.
Yes, the hospice will continue to be open (Monday – Friday) and all community programs will continue to be provided on-site on the lower level.
