Hospice Revitalization Project

We are excited to share that the Dorothy Ley Hospice residence will undergo renovations from January 23 to April 15, 2024. The renovations will increase capacity, provide additional comforts, and improve the quality and safety of care. They include:

• upgrades to the two temporary hospice rooms providing us with 12 fully functional hospice rooms
• a new air conditioning system, an infection control isolation room, and an improved residential call response system
• an enhanced care team station and locked medication preparation room
• a new family care suite and family shower room

We are committed to minimizing disruption for hospice residents and families and ensuring a positive and comfortable experience. All hospice services will continue to be available throughout the renovation period. We are temporarily relocating our hospice residence beds to the McCall Centre at 140 Sherway Drive.  Hospice care at this temporary site will continue to be provided by Dorothy Ley Hospice staff, physicians, and volunteers.
