Explore interesting places from home with LiveWalks

Our partner, LiveWalks, offers a free service that helps people who can’t travel explore places from the safety of their home.

Dorothy Ley Hospice clients can join live virtual tours to various international locations with LiveWalks, a Canadian non-profit that offers real-time, interactive experiences for people with limited mobility, health issues or disability.

Volunteer guides provide experiences ranging from hikes along the coast of British Columbia to experiencing the Cherry Blossoms at Ueno Park in Japan and viewing the Chaiwan Forest Temple in Udon Thani, Thailand.

Attendees experience these adventures in real-time, using a secure moderated Zoom room where they can ask questions, interact with others, and even request the host to turn the camera for a better view.

How to join a LiveWalks tour

If you’re a client of our hospice and are interested in joining a future tour, email [email protected] and let him know you’re from Dorothy Ley Hospice and would like to be notified of upcoming walks. You will then receive updates about upcoming walks you can join.

LiveWalks also offers the option for individuals to self-register, so if you’re not a client of our hospice, you can still join. Learn more on their website.
