Dorothy Ley Hospice celebrates the official completion of its residence renovations
Together with Hon. Sylvia Jones, Minister of Health, MPP Christine Hogarth, and our wonderful community partners, we officially marked the completion of our hospice renovations with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony.
October 24th was a truly memorable day at the Hospice. Together with Hon. Sylvia Jones, Minister of Health, MPP Christine Hogarth, and our wonderful community partners, we officially marked the completion of our hospice renovations with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony.
We are deeply thankful for the generous support of the provincial government and our donors, who made this incredible expansion possible. With two additional care suites, we can now offer comfort and care to 30-40 more individuals and their families each year.
“With the addition of new hospice beds, we’re ensuring that more people in our community have access to compassionate end of life care when they need it most. The investment in more hospice beds in Ontario is truly appreciated!” – Dipti Purbhoo, Executive Director, Dorothy Ley Hospice.
A special thank you goes out to our community partners, Trillium Health Partners and Extendicare, for providing a temporary home at The McCall Centre for Continuing Care, allowing us to continue our vital work uninterrupted during renovations.
