Dorothy Ley Hospice celebrates 35 years of serving the community
On September 25th, Dorothy Ley Hospice celebrated its 35th anniversary on the beautiful grounds of the Lambton Golf & Country Club.
We marked our 35th year with a celebratory evening recognizing our history and the people who pioneered this work, along with the Hospice’s role in the future of palliative care.
Many friends of the Hospice and people who are part of our compassionate community of care were in attendance including family members supported by the Hospice, donors, partners, volunteers, staff, and Hospice physicians.
Guests enjoyed live music by flautist Hannah Silverberg, a silent auction featuring art from a local artist Camille Muller and leaving their mark on our Legacy Tree, hand painted by hospice volunteer Tanzina Amin.
We thank Turner & Porter for their generous event sponsorship and The Lambton Golf & Country Club for kindly providing us with the space to host our celebration.
Our deepest gratitude to all who sponsored, supported and participated in our celebration. Our goal was to raise enough funds to purchase two new beds for our residence. You’ve helped us raise over $30,000 to purchase one new bed and have some additional funds to put towards getting another in the future.
We are incredibly thankful for your support and for having you as part of our community of care.
